New Capabilities for Oracle ZDLRA RA23-Z and Exadata X11M XT Storage Cells Customers

Exadata X11M XT
Recently, Oracle introduced two major updates: Exadata X11M XT – the next generation of storage systems for Exadata X11M engineered systems, and the Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance RA23-Z – a storage system for continuous database protection, making Oracle's unique capabilities more accessible than ever. Both products are now available for order and can become key elements of any enterprise IT infrastructure.
Exadata X11M XT is a specialized storage system for Exadata engineered systems, designed for infrequently accessed data, while still maintaining high performance and delivering significant cost savings. It enables intelligent resource allocation within the Exascale architecture, supports extreme compression, and allows companies to significantly reduce infrastructure costs without compromising data access speed.
Updated Specifications:
- 1× modern AMD EPYC processor (32 cores)
- 2× 6.8 TB SSDs optimized for performance
- 12× 22 TB HDDs
- Same architecture and capacity as X11M High Capacity, but with half the flash storage, half the cores, and no XRMEM

Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance RA23-Z is a storage system designed for continuous data protection. It offers a lower price entry point, flexible scaling from small environments to full racks, and comprehensive ransomware protection – including zero data loss and rapid recovery.
Updated Specifications:
- RA23-Z storage server: 6× 22 TB HDDs (compared to 12× 22 TB in RA23)
- Base rack: 135 TB usable capacity
- Full rack: 779 TB
- Optimized for protecting up to 100 TB of database data
- Base rack pricing is 30% lower than RA23
RA23-Z can be expanded with up to 17 additional storage servers per rack. This allows organizations to explore the benefits of ransomware protection technologies in smaller environments before scaling up to RA23 for larger deployments.
