Arctera continues to develop and optimize its portfolio of data protection and recovery solutions, focusing on strategically important products and modern technologies. As part of this approach, the company is reviewing the further development, commercial terms, and life cycle of individual solutions that have been on the market for a long time.

Below are key updates for Backup Exec, System Recovery, and DLO products, including changes in pricing, service offerings, and planned end-of-sale and end-of-support dates. This will help you plan ahead for your continued use of these solutions and prepare for upcoming changes.

1. Discontinuation of Software Discounts

All software discounts (including promotional offers) for Backup Exec, System Recovery, and DLO products have been discontinued. Standard pricing and discount structures will apply going forward.

2. End of Sale (EOS)

All service SKUs related to these products have been discontinued and the terms and conditions have changed:

  • existing service contracts remain valid until the end of their contract term;
  • service contract renewals are no longer available;
  • new service engagements will not be initiated.

3. End of Sale (EOS) by March 31, 2026

The official end of sale date for products is March 31, 2026. After this date, licenses will no longer be available for renewal or extension. Until that date, customers can continue their current subscriptions until the product’s End-of-Life date, but all multi-year renewals must be paid in advance. Support will be provided in accordance with current product policies, but the ability to purchase renewals will be discontinued.

4. End of Life (EOL) by April 30, 2029

The End-of-Life date is set for April 30, 2029. After this date, all support, maintenance, and updates for these products will be discontinued. It is recommended that you notify your customers in advance so they can plan their transition to alternative solutions before this date.

Use the updates as an opportunity to offer customers new Arctera solutions and services. Please review customer portfolios in advance and offer renewal or transition plans to alternative solutions before the specified dates. This will help ensure continuity of support and effective license management.
